Guten Morgen!
How many self help books have you read that emphasizes the importance of a morning routine? And how many times have you pressed snooze after reading one?Beds are so comfy and getting enough sleep is key but having a solid morning routine is so worth it-it will set the mood for the rest of your day which then leads into a solid night of sleep at home.Since moving to Germany, I’ve had a lot more time in the morning and I’m proud to say I’ve turned that into a lengthy but productive morning routine.Here are my new additions I’ve picked up from podcasts and health and wellness experts I follow. Check out the links to learn more! Oil pulling is the newest addition to my morning. It is still pretty strange to me but the idea that I’m pulling out toxins first thing out of bed definitely has me hooked on the habit. I use olive oil or coconut oil.Oil facial massage is up next. I cannot skip this step now! Even when we travel I have to do it. Even if I leave my oil at home I make do with lotion and its still worth it. I look so much more awake after and feel so much better. I would start here if you are looking to add one new wellness step to your morning! Next I move to our small home workout room to practice yoga. I maybe add in some stretches or core exercises of my own first, a lot of time a sequence I’m planning on using for a client during their in home workout and then turn to a Yoga with Adrienne! She has a ton to choose from. I choose a video depending on what my body is calling for based on what I did in my workout the day before .Her more fitness based practices for weight-loss will really wake you up! Side note: these videos are a great addition to your in home training routine. I always recommend supplementing your at home workouts with your trainer with Adrienne’s yoga videos.After these steps I’ll finish with SAVERS which was already part of my morning routine which I wrote about in this blog post.
