Food Dehydrating
Another Fun and Budget Friendly Kitchen Tool: A Food Dehydrator
Looking for healthy snacks that won’t break the bank? Consider buying a food dehydrator to make those fancy and pricier snacks that are trendy and delicious!
A great way to get more of your F & V in every day. I love dehydrating greens and I really love knowing I’m saving $ compared to buying a prepackaged brand. Plus 0 added chemicals in my batches! Spinach and kale are new favorites. We eat way more of these than we did before dehydrator came into our lives. I usually mix them in some olive oil and seasoning and then they dry out for about 2.5 hours.
They come out so crispy and packed with flavor! We also use the crumbs as a garnish over roasted veggies and casseroles or mixed into hummus dips. Dried fruit is also a must-do. Kids and adults love these as snacks and they are so much easier to pack than ripe fruits which smoosh and bruise so easily.
Pears and bananas are my go to. We gobble these up! They take a while to dry, but once you cut them up and start the dehydrator you can leave them for hours before needing to check them. Add this dehydrator to your Amazon basket or add it to your next birthday or holiday list!
