Senior Fitness Series: Questions to Ask Yourself

Ask yourself the following questions:

Would you sign up for a program that will gently help you lessen your aches and pains and boost your strength and energy?

Are you looking for a professional you can trust who will listen to your needs and create a plan for you?

How are your current aches and pains holding you back?

What would you try to accomplish if you knew you couldn’t fail?

What kinds of activities do you find interesting and engrossing?

What activities do you enjoy but can no longer participate in?

Why do you feel you can no longer do these activities?

What social activities do you see yourself participating in if you had more strength and stamina?

In the next few months, what worries do you have about completing upcoming tasks?

Would more energy, balance and increased muscular endurance ease these worries?

When you plan a vacation, what limitations affect your trip?

What do you want your life to be like in four or five years?

These are some questions to ponder to see if you are ready to begin working with a personal trainer. In your initial meeting with your trainer, you will both discuss these sorts of questions.  Questions and education from the Senior Fitness Series sourced from National Academy of Sports Medicine Senior Fitness Specialization Certification
